Want Want is one of the biggest snack manufacturer in Taiwan. It was founded in 1962 under the name I Lan Foods Industrial Company Limited. In the early stages of the company, they collaborated with Japanese Snack Manufacturer Iwatsuka Confectionery Company. In exchange for a rice cracker for the Taiwanese Market, they got a 5% stock of the company. Interesting enough, in 2009 that stock was valued three time as much than their own company. Currently, they are valued by Forbes magazine for a value of 8.9 Billion Dollar.

Perhaps one of the most notable thing about the company is the company logo. It features a child like drawing of a kid with its arms and legs splayed out. They are also known for their odd commercials in China. Unfortunately, since it is not as well known in the states, there are no such commercial here.

Senebi Crackers are a Japanese Rice Cracker that is usually baked in Charcoal. They usually glaze it with soy sauce to give it a salty flavor. I personally prefer that version as it gives a more striking contrast in flavor. There is also a seaweed version that is pretty good as well. That one has more of sweet profile. However, most people still prefer the original.

At the base, the texture is that of any other rice cracker. It is crunchy and starts to turn soft as you chew it.

Per 25g packet, you can expect 130 calories. Quite large for something so small. Saturated fat is also quite high at 2.5g.
