Best Electric Frying Pan

Since the early 1900, electricity has been replacing gas. It was seen as revolutionary. Houses were being converted from gas to electric. However, one thing that still remains is gas stove. They perform better and have better heat overall. That is not to say that there arent electric frying pan, they just dont perform as well. The good thing about electric frying pan is that they’re portable and convenient. The Best electric frying pan has easy to adjust temperature setting and removable pan for easy cleaning.

What is a Electric Frying Pan?

A Electric Frying Pan is a regular pan with a heating elements. Some Electric Frying Pan have the heating element built in to the pan. Better designed model will let you detach the pan. They are easier to clean and usually those integrated model cant be rinsed.

At its core, most Electric Frying Pan uses electrical resistance to heat up a coil. Once the coil is heated, it transfers heat to the pan. In essence, it is a pan with a hot plate on top. It does not use electricity to shock food.

While pretty much non existent, electric frying pan that uses induction heating are better. They heat up faster and use less electricity. The only way you can get something similar is by getting a induction stove top with a wok. Nuwave makes a neat little package with this.

How to Use a Electric skillet

To use a Electric Frying Pan start by plugging it in. Set the pan on the burner and select your desired temperature setting. When heating, I recommend turning it up all the way for quick results. However, slowly heating at lower temperature will give you even heating.

Most of these pans uses a nonstick coating. Coating it with oil prior to heating will prolong the life of the nonstick coating. I also recommend avoid heating it without food for too long. That heat will eventually burn out the teflon. Metal utensils will yield similar results.

When you clean it, remove it from the base and use the soft side of the sponge. I advise against using the dishwasher. They are a bit too harsh on the pans.

Is it Worth it to buy a electric frying pan?

If you live in a dorm or need something for a camper van than yes. Usually these smaller space have no gas out let. Buying these pans lets you cook anywhere with electricity. And it doesnt take up as much space. However, in terms of performance, its pretty lack luster.

I would argue that buying a induction stove top might be a better choice. However, those only add to the room it takes. It really depends on your needs.
