Caannasweis Nonstick Pan Review

Caannasweis Nonstick Pan is one of the best sellers on amazon. It has a stone like appearance for the nonstick coating. The healthy coating uses no PTFE or PFOA in its coating. At the bottom, there is a disc that improves performance and makes it induction compatible. The handles are soft and comfortable. All of this for an affordable price. However, is this pan really that great? This review will take a closer look at the design and feature of this cookware.

History of Caannasweis Company

There is little to no information about Caannasweis. The most that I can find is that it is a trademark of Hangzhou Yijia Technology Co.,Ltd. It’s possible that this brand is a imported brand from a Chinese manufacturer. Since I cannot find any official website, this is the best info thats available to me.

Caannasweis Nonstick Pan Design

The Design of Caannasweis is actually very similar to the other brand Carote Cookware. They both share similar appearance in the wood like handle and shape. Pricing structure is also similar. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is just a white label product. Nevertheless, we will go over each section of the pan.

Handle

The handle is soft and comfortable. When you cook on the stove top, it wont get hot. However, the limitation is the oven safe temperature. These type of handle cannot withstand much heat. Since I cannot find any information on this, I personally would not put it in a oven above 300 degree Fahrenheit.

Shape

In terms of shape, its ok. These pans are more designed for making omeletes. The sidewalls are relatively tall making difficult to flip and turn food with a spatula. It can also trap more moisture than a low sidewall pan. The good thing about these pans is that you can toss and turn food with your wrist easily. However, this is a more advance technique that most cant do.

Disc Base

The great thing about these disc base is that it improves the heat capacity of the pan. One characteristic of a bad pan is how light it is. By increasing the weight, it can hold more heat than a standard nonstick pan.

Another good thing is that the stainless steel base makes it induction compatible. A induction stove top needs to have a magnetic pull. Since most nonstick cookware uses aluminum, they wont work unless you have the base.

The downside is that there is a difference in heating rate. The base takes a while longer to heat up than the side. This can cause heat spots from the side to the base. As long as you can work through this, it should be fine.

Nonstick Coating

While I cannot find any official information about the coating, its more than likely ceramic. These ceramic coating do not use ptfe or pfoa in its manufacturing. However, these chemicals are usually what makes nonstick cookware durable. While ceramic coating uses less chemical, they are not as ductile. Overtime, ceramic nonstick will develop micro tears when the pan expand and contract due to heat. This reduces the overall nonstick capability of the cookware. It might work initially but I do not expect it to last past one year.

With that being said, there are some ways you can make it last longer. Heating up the pan slowly will prevent temperature shock. I would also caution against dunking a hot pan in cold water. Avoiding metal utensils are also a good idea as well.

When you wash it, I recommend to use the soft side of the sponge. Avoid using the dishwasher is also a good idea.

Caannasweis Nonstick Pan Thoughts

Overall, these pans are pretty good quality for the price. They do look like the same as Carote Cookware, but thats not really a bad thing. I personally think these two are the same pan. So I would just get which one is cheaper. They both work as a nonstick pan. Just do not expect it to last more than a year or two.
