Kopiko Coffee Candy is an Indonesian Coffee Candy. It is commonly eaten by children and known for its strong coffee flavor. They are currently available all around the world, however it is still relatively unknown in the states. There are two major flavor, the original and the cappuccino flavor. There use to be a Kosher variety but those are now only available in Israel. One of the most distinct things about Kopiko Coffee is its supposed caffeine content. Kopiko is made by Mayora an Indonesian snack company founded in 1948. They make a variety of things such as Danisa butter cookies to drinks. Throughout the years, the wont multiple awards. Expanding their reach all around the world. Some of their most famous brands is Kopiko, Danisa, beng beng and more. Unfortunately, most of these brands are only famous in South East Asia.

Taste

The best thing about the candy is its strong coffee flavor. Unlike other coffee candy, this actually taste like coffee. Which explain why they have “Coffee Extract” listed as the ingredients. In terms of texture, its just like a hard candy. It will wear down and melt in your mouth. I would be careful to accidentally swallow it. It happened to me quite a few time.

Overall, Kopiko Coffee Candy is one of the best coffee candy around. It is the only one with an authentic coffee flavor. Other coffee candy has a fake chemical flavor and those are off putting. If you want a coffee candy, I recommend that you try the Kopiko Coffee Candy. There is a reason it was found in a picture of the International Space Station.
