For the most parts, electric choppers are better. All you do is press the button and it chops for you. However, the downside to these is that theyre bigger and more cumbersome. You have to disassemble to wash them. You also need a power outlet. With a Electric chopper, you just place it over the food and chop. The manual chopper do work, but not always. Cuisinart is Kitchenaid biggest rival in the mini food processor category. It works with a simple push of a button. You can also reverse the direction to grind up stuff.
